Love it or hate it, with the recent weather, we have all been feeling the heat!
The sun rising up over the woods in the morning has created a beautiful start to the day. As you walk around the caravan park, the birds are singing and you can enjoy the smell of bacon cooking.
The River Wye looks glorious. The river banks are lush and green in the sunshine with an abundance of wildlife including the Kingfishers darting up and down the river the quick flash of blue. The otter has been spotted swimming around in the vast water – the water has seen much activity from canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding – what better way to get up close to nature. The coarse fishing season is well under way, and many have been spending their days on the river bank. If you want to enjoy some fishing during your stay with us, fishing permits can be obtained for the opposite bank to the caravan park from reception.
We’re lucky to be located within such beautiful surroundings and what better way to take in the views by walking? You can enjoy our surrounding views and scenery by taking a stroll along the river or venturing into the woods that are opposite the caravan park (which have provided some much-needed shade of late during the hotter days!). The leaves are looking a lovely shade of green, with lots of trails to keep all the family occupied- including dogs! What wildlife will you see? There has been a recent hatch of ducklings which are growing well and enjoying exploring the caravan park in the sunshine.
Our Glamping Pods and Huts have provided the perfect base for exploring Herefordshire for many of our recent visitors. Glamping is a great alternative to camping – enjoy the comfort of raised beds and the peace of mind that all you have to do it turn the key and not have to worry about setting up and packing away.
As the end of the day draws in and the sun starts to set, you’ll spot BBQs lit, the marshmallows are roasting and guests are settling in for the evening. There have been some impressive sunsets across the River Wye, what better way to enjoy the view than with family and friends spending quality time together creating memories?
